Attitude Problem??

I got a big slap in the face today that made me realize something very important. It's so much easier to be negative than to be positive. When things haven't gone my way I have found it easy to be negative and get down on myself. Thats what most people do when things do turn out the way they wanted. But it takes more effort to say "This  is not going to stop me". A person with a positive attitude would say something like that. Having a positive attitude is what will keep you going despite any set back you may face and it is one of the reasons that you will eventually succeed in life. Having a negative attitude really affects the way my day goes. For example if I have a made morning and something bad happens later in the day I'm like crap not another problem and when something else happens I say the same thing. That eventually just creates a negative cycle and its a waste of energy. Think back of any thing that you've done that has been a success and I am pretty sure you were optimistic or had a positive attitude about the potential outcome. No Guts No Glory. We have all heard that. It means you have to be willing to fight for what you want or believe  and not let anything stop you. The only way I think you can do this is with a positive attitude. If you wanted to be get that dream job, become that famous singer , be a pro athlete, or to be successful in anything don't you think having a positive attitude increases your chance of success? Even if its by a little bit I think its does because speak with anyone you think is successful and I am certain that they will tell you that being positive and having a positive mindset is crucial. Being around positive people is way more pleasant than being around negative people. And if you think about it how would you rather live life would you  have a positive attitude no matter what and do your best to be happy or would you rather have a negative attitude say life sucks and be depressed all the time. I don't know about you but I would go with the first one and be positive because no one really want to be around anyone that makes them feel down or makes them feel less of a person because thats just not cool.  In addition, having a positive attitude can help you through the hard times that you face. Personally, I think you should focus on the things you can control and since you can control your attitude why not be positive. Wouldn't it be great to stay positive regardless of what happens so one day you can be able to say it wasn't easy but in the end I made it and it was worth it. Wouldn't it be great do be positive so that when you stay positive and do great things it inspires other people in your life to do the same. Wouldn't be great to..(you fill in the blank). If I haven't made my point that a positive attitude is a great thing to have just remember this point when making a decision about your attitude in life: POSITIVE THINGS HAPPEN TO POSITIVE PEOPLE

Dreams/ Passions

Yes you do need food, shelter, and clothing to be able to live which means you need money to get all those things but one thing that I think you need to really LIVE are dreams and goals. Personally, I feel that my dreams and goals are the reason I wake everyday and the reason I always am optimistic and have a positive attitude. Everyday above ground is a good day. Life is all about choices and the best choice anyone can make is to go after their dreams or genuine interests/ passions. These are the things that make us who we are. I believe that your dreams or goals are the reasons we do what we do. Parents work hard and sacrifice because they have a dream of providing a better life for their children and Michael Jordan didn't work hard just to be average he did it because he wanted to the best. Having a dream or goal to work towards is a very positive thing and the only way we can make our dreams come true is through action. I look up to successful people for the fact that they had dreams and goals that they wanted to accomplish and they actually took action to accomplish them. It takes courage to do something you have never done before because there is no guarantee that you will be successful. Failure is a part of the road to success. If you don't believe look at Soichiro Honda. He was turned down for a job as an engineer with Toyota. Instead of running home to cry Mr. Honda sold his home made scooters to his neighbors and he eventually started his own company which we all know today. If that's not enough proof look at "the happiest place on earth" Disney World. Before Disney World was created Walt Disney started his own business in his garage and his very first cartoon project went bankrupt. I repeat failure is a part of success. Want more proof look at Bill Gates and Traf-O-Data, Michael Jordan, Abraham Lincoln, J.K. Rowling etc .I am not afraid to fail because to me failing is way better than not trying. The one advantage of failure is that you can learn from your mistakes to improve as well as to get better. Experience is the best teacher.
If you really want something bad enough you will be willing to go through whatever it takes to get it. All I know is that my dreams and goals are worth fighting for till success is the outcome. I hope yours are too. Please do not waste your time listening to negative people who have never done what you want to do. Listen to people who have accomplished something you want to accomplish or have done what you want you want to do. Just remember there will always be obstacles and things to overcome but failure is the part of the formula for success so the best thing to do is keep going and you don't have to take my word for it this quote from Jordan says it best:
“I know fear is an obstacle for some people, but it is an illusion to me. Failure always made me try harder next time.”

Student Loans =0

My face after I knew how much I had to pay in student loans:

Hey Guys Hows it goin?

So I guess the worst part of graduating and joining the working world is the fact that you have to pay back your student loans ( unless you finance your education without loans or get a free ride). There some actions you can take in regards to your student loans that I wish I took while I was still in college. For example while still in college it would help a great deal if you worked or found a way to start paying of your loans before you graduate or wait for the 6 months grace period to end. If you start paying back your loans during or before the 6 months grace period after graduation the money you pay goes directly to the principle( the money you borrowed) and not the interest( what it costs you to borrow the money). Please don't do what I did and wait till the 6 months grace period to end to being thinking about or looking at your loans. Keep track of your loans and what you owe while your in you final semester. In that way you start planning to pay it off before the grace period ends and that will help you pay it off faster.

In addition, please find out what method will work best for you for repayment. Do Not be like me and think you can just pay it online without finding out for sure. If I did this I would not have to pay $7.50 for every money order or $30 for every wire transfer. In cases like this I think its better to be proactive than reactive so please stay on top of your loans don't think you can just run away from them because student loans will follow you the way Kim Kardashian follows black guys so do your best with them like I am.

Overall, student loans helped you make a big investment in yourself that you will reap for the rest of your career so you should be proud of your academic accomplishments. Congratulations!!

Crazy 1st Job

Hello!

Happy New Year!

So I know as a new graduate your first job might not be the job of your dreams but tell me if a first job like this  good or bad:

1. It takes you 2 hours a day just to get to work never mind getting back home.
2. Individuals are not valued as they should actually be.
3.The attitude in the office is not positive or optimistic.
4. The only time you smile is at 5:30pm when its time to go home
5. You get in trouble for laughing too loud
6. If you look to relaxed they think your not doing any work
7. When someone gets fired you wish it was you.
8. You have to get up at 6am

Regardless of this being good or bad there are two key things that I have learned:

1. Your passions and what you enjoy doing are things that will make work as well as your life more fulfilling.
2. It is important to treat those who are above or below with the same amount of respect

Thanks 4 reading
